There are many features to enjoy whilst using the Members Archive, so please read this page, or just play with the controls to get used to the functions.

Sign Up first!

Non members can search the Free public site to see what we have amongst the 40,000 images currently online. To open up all the features, including viewing the images at 1500pw, you need to sign up as a member.

To sign up for membership, simply click on the 'Sign Up Now!' button above. This will take you to our payment page where you can select your level of membership. (All fees go towards purchasing new collections and running the library).
For convenience, the payment is set up as a recurring yearly subscription, but this can be cancelled at anytime and we personally guarantee that if you forget, and it renews without your knowledge, then we will refund the payment if you don't want to continue your membership. Simply email us at archive@wingleader.co.uk

Once you have paid for your yearly membership, you should receive an automated email inviting you to set up your password. Sometimes these automatic emails are directed into your spam folder, so if you don’t receive an email within an hour, just let us know.

You can then log-in (top right of the Members’ site screen) with your details. Once logged in, you will be able to click and enlarge over 40,000 images!

Searching.

There are two main ways to search the database;

  1. Click on the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen.
    This is a powerful search tool that will look through all the available folders.
    If you enter MANCHESTER it will return any image with the word MANCHESTER in the title or text.
    If you enter AVRO MANCHESTER it will return any image that contains both individual words (so for example a photo of an Avro Anson in Manchester).
  2. Search using the folders and sub folders.
    We have arranged our images into over 1000 separate folders so that you can enjoy browsing through them in relatively small but specific numbers. We aim to have no more than 250 images in any one folder, so for the more popular aircraft, we’ve tried to further split them down into Mks or time periods.

    If you don't know where to start (!), have a browse through the Weekly Photo Packs section. This is where we add over 100 new photos every Sunday. Each week is usually a specific aircraft type so browse through them and find your favourites. Many of these new photos are from private albums and therefore quite rare.
