102 Sqn Whitley DY-R N1380 at Driffield in March 1940. It failed to return from an attack on the River Oise bridges during the Battle of France on 20/21 May 1940. It was one of 24 Whitleys sent on a low-level night raid and was hit by Flak. All five of its crew were killed when in plunged into the Bois des Mortiers, 10 km south east of St-Quentin, France.
